Even though the current financial sector hardly seems ripe for incentive projects, CBC Bank recently invited some 229 members of its network for a 3 night /4 day visit to Istanbul. The event was the culmination of a year of hard work, rewarding the successful winners of a competition that took place throughout 2007 and 2008 !
Turkish Airlines provided direct access to the shores of the Bosphorus. Upon arrival in Istanbul, guests were welcomed on a surprise cocktail cruise, which provided an appropriate introduction to the wonders of the city. Following this ‘local’ evening and a relaxing overnight, participants had the privilege to visit the Istanbul Stock Exchange, where they could experience this rapidly expanding financial centre. The interesting program unfolded effortlessly, successfully introducing the city and all its grandeur, through a series of cultural and festive activities !
Culinary highlights included the impressive dinner at trendy ‘Reina’, which is one of Istanbul’s most popular ‘night spots’, as well as the farewell dinner at the Maiden's Tower, which is situated in the very centre of the Bosphorus, between the shores of Europe and Asia.
All in all, a big success and definitely a little ‘breather’ from the harsher daily realities, for the lucky winners who participated on this experience.
