Always in search of original ideas, this April Destination Unlimited introduced 56 invitees, as guests of a food-processing giant, to encounter the "absolute" of exoticism...
After a short discovery of Delhi in India, these privileged guests headed to the mysterious kingdom of Bhutan, in the midst of the Himalayas. Highly protected from mass tourism, Bhutan seems tiny in comparison to its Indian and Chinese neighbours. The strong personality of its inhabitants, and the serene impression of Buddhism on the entire country, makes this experience so much more remarkable.
With its antique fortresses nestling high upon hillsides, isolated monasteries and splendid landscapes, but also powerful folklore and local traditions, this small country has everything to seduce the traveller.
After this exceptional encounter, it was onward to Katmandu to discover the Nepalese capital, which is clearly more commercial, but no less charming, notably in its architecture which originates from its Buddhist-asserted traditions. This is the place to discover vast spaces and sumptuous panoramas, sprinkled with shimmering gold temples, whilst offering those with a zest for adventure, a trekking and rafting paradise !
This trip combination is a perfect example of an exceptional experience, tailor-made by Destination Unlimited, to bring your guests a dazzling, out-of-the-ordinary odyssey.
